Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Modern Brain & BroScience LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use BettrPOV (the "Service"). It also describes the limited circumstances in which we share information and sets out the choices and rights you have in relation to that information.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of the Service.
Words beginning with capital letters have specific meanings defined below. These definitions apply whether the terms appear in singular or plural form.
Account means a unique account created for you to access our Service.
Company refers to Modern Brain & BroScience LLC.
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device to store preferences.
Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a smartphone or tablet.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service refers to the BettrPOV mobile application.
Service Provider means any third party that processes data on behalf of the Company.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically when using the Service.
You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the legal entity on whose behalf such individual is accessing or using the Service.
BettrPOV is designed to operate without requiring you to reveal your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that directly identifies you. We do not create user profiles tied to real‑world identities, and we do not offer social features that invite you to share personal details. As such, we do not knowingly collect PII during ordinary in‑app use and we have no reason to ask you for it.
If you choose to contact us by email or through another support channel, we will receive whatever information you decide to send, which may include your email address, screenshots, or other details about your issue. We treat this information as confidential support data. It is used solely to investigate and resolve your request, and it is never combined with Usage Data or used for marketing purposes. Once the conversation is concluded and any legal retention period has passed, we delete or anonymise the correspondence.
To keep the app running smoothly and to understand how users in the aggregate interact with key features, we automatically receive basic device and interaction metrics each time you open the app. These metrics include the model and operating system of your device, an anonymised identifier generated by the platform, language and time‑zone settings, timestamps of sessions, the screens you navigate to, and error or crash logs if something goes wrong. None of this data, on its own or in combination, enables us to identify you as an individual.
We rely on Usage Data for three essential purposes. First, we use it to operate the Service—that is, to render content on the correct screen size, perform in‑app purchases, and keep fraudulent activity at bay. Second, we analyse the data in aggregate to improve the Service, for example by learning which screens are confusing or which features are rarely used so we can refine them. Third, we retain error logs long enough to troubleshoot crashes and performance issues, after which the logs are deleted or anonymised. Voluntary Contact Information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not retained longer than necessary.
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we process Usage Data under the legitimate interest of operating a stable, secure, and user‑friendly application. Voluntary Contact Information is processed with your consent, which is implied by your choice to send the message.
We do not sell or rent information—personal or otherwise—to third parties. We share Usage Data only with trusted service providers who supply analytics, crash reporting, and subscription management tools that are essential to the app’s operation. These providers are bound by contract to process the data solely on our behalf and in a manner consistent with this Policy. If the Company is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, anonymous or aggregated data may be transferred, but it will remain subject to the commitments we make here.
Voluntary Contact Information is never shared outside the Company unless disclosure is legally required to protect rights or comply with a lawful request.
The infrastructure we rely on is located in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers maintain servers. By using BettrPOV you acknowledge and agree that your Usage Data may be transferred to and processed in these jurisdictions, some of which may have data‑protection laws that differ from those in your home country. Whenever such transfers occur, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the data.
Usage Data is kept only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above. Crash logs are typically reviewed and then deleted within ninety (90) days. Aggregated analytics, which cannot be linked back to a particular user, may be stored longer to inform product‑improvement trends. Voluntary Contact Information is retained only for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and comply with legal obligations.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard the data in our possession, including encryption in transit, limited access on a need‑to‑know basis, and routine security audits. However, no mobile application or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
BettrPOV is intended for users who are sixteen (16) years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen (13). If you become aware that a minor has provided us with data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Your Rights and Choices
Because we do not hold PII created by the app, most regulatory rights—such as access, rectification, or data portability—are not applicable. Nevertheless, you may request that we delete any Usage Data linked to the unique identifier on your device or any Voluntary Contact Information you have provided. To do so, please email support@bettrpov.app with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new legal requirements or changes in how we operate the Service. If a revision is material, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the new terms take effect. By continuing to use the Service after the effective date, you agree to the updated Policy.
